The Wente Family Celebrates Third Annual
Wente Family Estates Legacy Awards
Livermore, CA – The Wente Family is proud to announce the winners of the third annual Wente Family Estates Legacy Awards, held on February 28, 2011 at the Restaurant at Wente Vineyards The two-day event commenced with the highly anticipated Legacy Awards Dinner, followed by the Legacy Awards Pro-Am at The Course at Wente Vineyards, and Distributor Council meeting to discuss goals and the outlook for 2011 and beyond.
The awards are categorized based on distributor size, with Tier One selling the highest quantity. This year’s distributor winners in the Tier One category are: Glazer’s Distributors in Texas, Southern Wine & Spirits in Florida and Southern Wine & Spirits in New York. Tier Two awards, were awarded to Lauber Selections in New Jersey, Paustis Wine Company in Minnesota and Southern Wine & Spirits in Colorado. Tier Three distributors were g.housen in Vermont, Glazer’s Distributing in Iowa and Southern Wine & Spirits in Arizona. Special recognition was awarded to Charlotte, NC-based Tryon Distributing for Outstanding Portfolio Performance for Wente Family Estates.
Equally notable were awards given in the importers category as Wente Family Estates has had a long history of exports around the globe. Wente Family Estates’ international importers Arion Wine Company in Aruba, Churchill Cellars in Toronto, ON and Global Wineries in Belgium won awards for most successful growth of Wente Family Estates’ wine portfolio.
Lastly, Legacy Recognition Awards were presented to distributors that showcased outstanding sales performance for brands within the Wente Family Estates portfolio; Hayes Ranch (Glazer’s Distributors of Texas), Tamás Estates (Southern Wine & Spirits of New York) and Wente Vineyards (Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida).
